The following outline details the workshops, demos and presentations that are currently available from The Temple of the Red Lotus. We are continuously developing new material, so check back often. If there is a particular topic you’d like to see covered, please email us to share your ideas.

Our presenters love to travel. Do you have a store, a group meeting, or an event where you would like to host one of the following presentations? We require traveling expenses, lodging and a modest per person rate, and at least six weeks’ notice to arrange to attend your store/meeting/event. Please email us to begin those negotiations.

~WORKSHOPS~

Introduction to Sacred Sexuality

This class will present the concept of sacred sexuality, defining it and exploring how it has been applied in the past and by different cultures and in different religions. Lecture style, limited audience participation, one hour.

Embracing Sacred Sexuality

This class will explore how to integrate the concepts of sacred sexuality into your own life and relationships. We will discuss philosophies such as hedonism and karezza, and learn various ways of developing a sensuous outlook on life. You will learn specific techniques to use with your lover(s) to increase the levels of sacredness in your lovemaking. Workshop style, audience participation strongly encouraged, one and one half hours.

Exploring Sacred Sexuality

A synthesis of my two basic classes, this workshop will define the concept of sacred sexuality and briefly explore how it has been applied in the past by other cultures. We will discuss a couple of specific formal philosophies such as hedonism and karezza. You will learn how to integrate the basic principles of sacred sexuality into your life, and you will even get to experiment with some techniques for increasing the levels of sacred sensuousness in your life and your lovemaking. A blend of lecture and hands-on workshop, audience participation strongly encouraged, two hours.

An Overview of the Qadishtu Path

In this class, we will discuss the role of the Qadishtu priestess. This will involve an historical overview, as well as a discussion of how this path is manifesting itself today. We will specifically touch on how the Temple of the Red Lotus defines and fulfills the Qadishtu role and functions. Lecture style, minimal audience participation, one hour.

The Art of Courtship

Courtship is a lost art in our modern society. This course gives a discussion of interpersonal interactions from first glance to last dance. The central focus is on adding in steps between first encountering a potential partner and either jumping right into bed or right into rejection. We will also go over how to gracefully decline unwanted attention without damaging the other person. Methods include the use of at least five of the sensory abilities to determine whether the person is right for you and if you are right for them and if the timing is right for all concerned. The emphasis is on making flirtation and courtship a fun and enjoyable experience unto itself, regardless of whether you actually form a relationship with the object of your affections.

Intercourse Alternatives & Enhancers

We will explore the many reasons to discover alternatives to intercourse, not the least of which is that the techniques we will discuss and practice can help deepen your connection to yourself, your partner, and to divinity. Another great thing about Intercourse Alternatives is that they also serve to enhance all your sexual relations!

BDSM 101

This class will teach you the basics: the difference between B&D, D&S, and S&M; safe words; types of floggers and other toys; terminology; the importance of communication; trust and energy exchange; and the various reasons people enjoy these “alternative” sexuality practices. We will give you the opportunity to try your hand at “topping” an experienced “bottom, or you might choose to experience what it’s like to be on the receiving end. We will also provide basic instruction and tips on techniques and we are willing to supervise couples’ first attempts to engage in a “scene” with each other.

Submission as a Path to the Divine (in development)

BDSM is not simply an alternative form of sexual expression; it can and has often been incorporated in a set of spiritual practices. This class will demonstrate how being a sexual submissive can become a spiritual path, leading the practitioner to discover techniques to experience and commune with the Divine, through the experience of submitting physically and mentally to a gifted and understanding Top.

Responsible Sex Ed for Younger Teens (9-14)

This class is a somewhat scaled down version of the class presented to the older teens. Here we will discuss more of the body changes that younger teens experience, touching on issues of body image and self-consciousness, as well as methods for building their sense of self-esteem, without having to resort to the peer pressures to have sex. We’ll discuss the various trends among younger teens around sexuality and I hope to convey a sense of the sacredness of this act, so as not to scare them away from it or impart negativity. I would rather they postpone their first time out of a sense of awe and respect, as opposed to unreasonable fear.

Responsible Sex Ed for Older Teens (15-19)

Here is an opportunity for the older teenagers (15-19) of our community to get a more in-depth sex-ed class, where they will learn about the power, beauty and responsibility of sex. We will go over safer sex techniques and the risks associated with having sex, how to know when you’re ready for sex, and some intercourse alternatives. We will also cover some of the problems encountered during sexual play and how to talk with your partner and with your parents about sex. All participants under the age of 18 MUST have signed written consent by their parent or legal guardian.

Couples Erotic Yoga

Come with your sweetheart and learn how breathing and stretching together can be an intimate and erotic experience. Discover poses that will increase your capacity for experiencing sexual pleasure. Enjoy the intimacy and compassion that is generated through helping one another attain beautiful and intertwined positions.

Oral Orgasm

This workshop is an exploration into the sensual world of taste. We will talk about the importance of taste as one of the five senses, the effectiveness of aphrodisiac foods, and how we can incorporate our sense of taste into our lovemaking. Come prepared to partake of a variety of luscious treats!

~DEMONSTRATIONS~

Nude Bondage Yoga

Inara, a lifelong practitioner and teacher of yoga, is also a practitioner of BDSM. One day, her Top challenged her to combine the two, and Nude Bondage Yoga was the result. Come watch as she fluidly moves from pose to pose while bound wrist to ankle, and completely nude!
